THE COLLECTIONS / CLOTHING
Clothing.
Your own signature.
Start with your actual week. Choose separates that work together, compare fabric composition and leave room for realistic alterations.
Which fabric suits the way you dress?
Cotton poplin offers a crisp shirt direction; wool crepe can provide a softer tailored line; fine-gauge knits can reduce bulk beneath a jacket. These are starting points, not performance guarantees. Weight, weave, lining and construction change how an exact garment behaves. Read the composition and care label together, then test movement and opacity.
How should you compare designer clothing?
Compare the same intended role across houses: a soft jacket at Giorgio Armani, Max Mara or Brunello Cucinelli; a fine knit at Loro Piana, Zegna or Brunello Cucinelli. Keep a note of shoulder width, garment length, rise and sleeve length using each retailer’s method. Allow for alterations only after a tailor confirms the work is feasible.
Shopping in the US or UK?
Set the delivery country before comparing the exact item, currency, delivery charges and returns. A currency selector does not establish shipping eligibility. See our cross-border shopping checklist and fit notebook.

Build around the piece you wear most
Lay out a frequently worn trouser, skirt or jacket and identify what would extend its use. A blouse may take it to dinner; a knit may make it useful on a cooler morning. Compare colour in ordinary light and check whether the layers catch or pull against each other. Read the composition and care instructions for the complete garment, including its lining. Keep an alteration allowance in your budget, but ask a tailor what is possible before treating a difficult shoulder or armhole as a simple repair.
