RESEVARIA / THE MAGAZINE
Beauty & Grooming
Resevaria’s beauty and grooming guides help readers compare fragrance, skincare product information and practical routines. They focus on preferences, product labels and buying decisions; they do not provide diagnoses or personalised medical advice.
A good routine should leave room for your preferences and your time. Start with the finish you enjoy, the products you already use and one question you want answered. The guides below cover makeup, fragrance, grooming tools and reading skincare information.

THE EDITORIAL NOTEBOOK
Define the purpose
Separate the result you want from the appeal of packaging. For grooming, think about the tasks you perform regularly and the time you realistically have.
Compare the information
Read the exact product label, usage instructions and ingredient information. A product family name is not enough to establish whether two formulas are equivalent.
Leave room to reconsider
Use samples where appropriate before a full-size purchase. Avoid changing many products at once merely to follow an edit. Seek qualified advice for a health concern rather than treating a magazine guide as a diagnosis.

Read the claim, then read the label
A reassuring word on a box is a starting point for questions. In the United States, the FDA says there is no federal standard or definition governing the term “hypoallergenic” for cosmetics. That label alone cannot establish that a product will suit your skin.
See the FDA’s explanation of hypoallergenic cosmetics. Its statement concerns US labelling; do not assume every market uses the same rules.
Make a useful comparison
Bring the name of the product you already use, note what you want to change and compare the full ingredient information. For colour cosmetics, consider the finish in daylight as well as under store lighting. For fragrance, give a sample time rather than deciding from the opening alone.
